This project is for the design, right-of-way, and future reconstruction of this segment of highway. Associated improvements are likely to include lowering the roadway profile to allow for a wider paved surface and shoulders. Culverts and other roadway appurtenances will also be improved, replaced, or upgraded to current standards.

Design is currently underway. This includes establishing a design profile and analyzing impacts to right-of-way. Right of Way acquisition is scheduled to begin in Summer of 2024. Construction is currently scheduled for 2025.

The existing asphalt pavement has deteriorated to a point where pavement replacement is the most economical way to address the deficiency.  Several other roadway deficiencies will also be addressed by the proposed improvement or brought up to current standards.
